Town of Palm Beach Construction and Traffic Highlights 6/27/2016
(1) FLAGLER MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Construction will continue on the Flagler Memorial Bridge.
(2) TOWN SQUARE: The inside northbound and outside southbound lane on South County Road will be closed to traffic. Parking and handicap spaces directly adjacent to the lane closure will be unavailable. The contractor will make every effort to maintain as many spaces as possible and safe for use. Project to be completed by 08/29/16.
(3) SIGNALIZATION AND MAST ARM IMPROVEMENTS ON NORTH COUNTY ROAD: The southbound outside lane of North County Road from Park Avenue south to Royal Poinciana Way will be closed for the removal and installation of sidewalk and curb. Pedestrians will be routed around the sidewalk at the signalized intersections of Sunrise and Sunset Avenues.
(4) CHERRY LANE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS: At the Cherry Lane and North Lake Way intersection, one lane will be blocked to complete drainage work from Monday, June 27 to Tuesday, June 28. The road will be closed at 252 and 255 Cherry Lane from Tuesday, June 28 to Saturday, July 2. • Access to 675 North Lake Way will be coordinated with the resident from June 27 to June 28. • Access to 255 and 262 will be from North Lake Way from June 28 to July 2. Traffic will be directed by flaggers and construction signage.
(5) VIA MARILA OUTFALL REPAIR: The west end of Via Marila will have periodic lane closures for loading and unloading of equipment and materials. The Lake Trail access path at Via Marila will be closed for staging of equipment and materials and the Lake Trail access path at La Puerta Way and the Lake Trail path from the La Puerta Way access path to the Via Marila access path will have periodic short term closures for deliveries and a temporary ramp installation. Traffic will be directed by flaggers.
(6) 1900 SOUTH OCEAN BOULEVARD: One lane of traffic will be closed at 1900 South Ocean Boulevard on Friday, July 1 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. for a concrete pour. Traffic will be directed by flaggers.
(7) LAKE TRAIL FROM ATLANTIC AVENUE TO DUNBAR ROAD: Lake Trail will be closed from Atlantic Avenue to Dunbar Road from Monday, June 27 to Saturday, July 2 for drainage and pavement maintenance. Access to Lake Trail will still be available at both Atlantic Avenue and Dunbar Road.
(8) FPU GAS LINE REPLACEMENTS: Installation of gas lines, gas service connections, road restoration, and milling and resurfacing will take place on the following streets. • Via Sunny, • 200 Block of Via Tortuga, • 100 Block of Atlantic Avenue, • Antigua Lane, • Primavera Avenue, • Brazilian Avenue Easement, • 100 Block of Brazilian Avenue, • North Lake Way between Miraflores Drive and Country Club Road, • Country Club Road between North County Road and Slope Trail, • The intersection of Cocoanut Row and Antigua Lane, • The intersection of South County Road and Peruvian Avenue, • Ridgeview Drive between North Lake Way and North County Road, • Polmer Park Road, • Hi-Mount Road, • 400 Block of Australian Avenue, • The alleys north and south of Clarke Avenue between South Ocean Blvd and Cocoanut Row, and • South County Road from Royal Palm Way into and through existing Burkhardt construction area, extending south to Peruvian Avenue. Traffic will be directed by flaggers.
(9) TOWN WIDE PALM TREE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM: Removal of dead palm trees and installation of new palms will take place at the following locations. • 100 Block of Australian Avenue • 200 Block of Royal Palm Way • 100 Block of Royal Poinciana Way • 180 South County Road. There will be traffic control devices, signs, and flaggers present to assist with traffic flow.
