Town of Palm Beach Construction and Traffic 6/20/16

 (1) FLAGLER MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Construction continues on the Flagler Memorial Bridge. Flagler Drive, From Flagler Memorial Bridge all the way to 4th street, will be closed

(2) TOWN SQUARE: The inside northbound and outside southbound lane on South County Road will be closed to traffic. The work involves drainage, sidewalk, curb, landscape, hardscape and associated improvements as part of the Town Square Phase II Project. Parking and handicap spaces directly adjacent to the lane closure will be unavailable. This project will be complete by 08/29/16.

(3) SIGNALIZATION AND MAST ARM IMPROVEMENTS ON NORTH COUNTY ROAD: The southbound outside lane of North County Road from Park Avenue south to Royal Poinciana Way will be closed for the removal and installation of sidewalk and curb. Parking and handicap spaces adjacent to the lane closure will be unavailable. Pedestrians will be routed around the sidewalk and curb installation at the signalized intersections of Sunrise and Sunset Avenues. The northbound outside lane and parking lane along North County Road from Sunset to Sunrise will be closed. Sunset and Sunrise at the intersections of North County Road will periodically be reduced to one lane at the intersections at the corner during specific operations.

 (4) SOUTH OCEAN BOULEVARD STREET LIGHT UPGRADE: The south bound lane of South Ocean Boulevard from Sloan’s Curve south to Lake Avenue will have minor traffic impacts. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers (if necessary) while geotechnical borings are performed on the west side of the road right-of-way. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained within these limits, with the exception of a temporary closure at the locations where the geotechnical borings are located adjacent to the path.

 (5) RIDGEVIEW DRIVE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS: On Ridgeview Drive between North Lake Way and North County Road, drainage construction will continue. The road will be closed at 255 and 256 Ridgeview Drive from Monday, June 20 to Wednesday, June 22. Roadway restoration on Ridgeview Dr. will occur on June 23 and June 24. Traffic will be directed by flaggers as necessary. • Access to 255 and 256 Ridgeview Dr. will be from North Lake Way from Monday, June 20 to Wednesday, June 22.

(6) VIA MARILA OUTFALL REPAIR: The west end of Via Marila will have periodic lane closures for loading and unloading of equipment and materials. Traffic will be directed by flaggers. The Lake Trail access path at Via Marila will be closed for staging of equipment and materials. The Lake Trail access path at La Puerta Way and the Lake Trail path from the La Puerta Way access path to the Via Marila access path will have periodic short term closures for deliveries and a temporary ramp installation.

(7) FPU GAS LINE REPLACEMENTS: Installation of gas lines, gas service connections, and road restoration will take place on the following streets. • Via Sunny, • Antigua Lane, • Primavera Avenue, • Brazilian Avenue Easement, • North Lake Way between Via Las Brisas and Country Club Road, • 100 Block of Atlantic Avenue, • Country Club Road between North County Road and Slope Trail, • The intersection of Clarke Avenue and South County Road, • The intersection of South Ocean Boulevard and Royal Palm Way, • The intersection of Cocoanut Row and Antigua Lane, • El Dorado Lane between North County Road and North Lake Way, • High Mount Road, • Cherry Lane, West of North Lake Way, • The alleys north and south of Clarke Avenue between South Ocean Blvd and Cocoanut Row, and • South County Road from Royal Palm Way into and through existing Burkhardt construction area, extending south to Peruvian Avenue. Traffic will be directed by flaggers.

 (8) TOWN WIDE PALM TREE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM: Removal of dead palm trees and installation of new palms will take place on the 100 Block of Australian Avenue. There will be periodic blocking of parking stalls on side streets and advance warning signs will be placed adjacent to where palms will be removed. There will be traffic control devices, signs, and flaggers present to assist with traffic flow. Surrounding residents should not be adversely impacted by construction vehicles and/or associated employee parking.

TRAFFIC HELP-LINE, A dedicated traffic telephone line, is also available from 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday to report excessive traffic delays or concerns.
