Palm Beach’s Finance Director is Retiring after 23 Years
Jane Le Clainche, Palm Beach’s Finance Director, is retiring at the end of January. She spent 23 years with the town but is excited to move on to the next chapter of her life.
Before Palm Beach
Jane is from Michigan but spent her winters coming to Palm Beach County. As an adult, she spent a decade working for the city of Kankakee, Illinois as comptroller and collection director. After 10 years she decided it was time for a change.
Jane as Palm Beach’s Finance Director
The Palm Beach Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the county. During her 23 years of handling all of these tasks, her favorite became the budget process. She enjoyed the challenge of working with different departments to create a budget that met the needs of Palm Beach while also making sure it stayed within fiscal responsibility.
It is no surprise that Jane’s dedication, expertise, and efficiency have earned her much respect from her colleagues. She will be missed by the town, but everyone is excited for her to start this next chapter.
