Update: Swedish Hollywood Housewives Star Arrested in Palm Beach

We previously had reported that Gunilla Persson, a Swedish reality TV star, had stolen $545 sunglasses from the Chanel Worth Avenue store and was arrested. This event occurred on May 22 when Persson had slid the sunglasses “on the top of her head,” without paying for them as well as removing the tags. Persson also claimed she would “return them later.

This past week, Persson decided to resolve her theft case, according to Palm Beach Daily News.  According to the article, Persson was not present during the court case. Her attorney said she was going to plead “not guilty” to the crimes. Persson was not needed to be present during the trial, as long as her attorney was there.

Persson agreed to pretrial diversion and all of her charges were dropped.

Previously, Persson would have faced charges “of petit theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine.”
