Town of Palm Beach Planning and Zoning Commission Opening

An exciting opportunity has opened up to the residents of the town of Palm Beach; especially for those who would like to make a difference and become a vital member of a team of people who work hard to keep their town and community in the excellent condition that has made this island the landmark that it is.

Last week, the town’s officials have announced that there will be positions opening up for those who want to become members of the town of Palm Beach’s very own Planning and Zoning Commission, beginning on October 1st of this year.

From the Planning and Zoning Commission’s page on the Town of Palm Beach’s website, the commission’s responsibilities include “act[ing] in an advisory capacity to the town council in all matters relating to municipal planning and development.” “The commission is required to follow the concepts and contents of the town’s comprehensive land use plan in all planning, zoning and development related deliberations and decisions” they added.

Meeting audio can be found on the town’s website for those with further interest in what responsibilities the commission has with the community.

Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission serve the community in terms that are 3 years in length, and are currently led by Chair, Martin Klein and Vice Chair, Lewis Crampton.
