Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa Restaurant Receives Violations

The Democratic gubernatorial primary race is officially over, and one of the losing candidates, Jeff Greene is met with more unfortunate news. Greene, who lost his bid for the Democratic Governor spot during this upcoming election to Andrew Gillum, had his share of bad news throughout the week. The restaurant at his Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa was shut down due to violations.

According to Palm Beach Daily News, the restaurant had failed “several” state inspections. Some of the violations reported were “found live roaches, improperly stored food and expired food,” according to the article. There are two restaurants in the hotel, Mizu and Brandon’s. However, Brandon’s was the one that failed the health inspections.

Reported were a total of 23 violations. Six of them being an “immediate priority.” The restaurant had closed briefly towards the end of August to handle the violations. The restaurant reopened the next day after further inspections were taken. There will be inspections to come this month.

The hotel suffered “minimal impact” as it did not affect those staying, according to the article.

Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa Restaurant Receives Violations

Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa is recently remodeled hotel located on the ocean in the southern part of the Town of Palm Beach. According to the Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa website, there are 134 rooms. The rooms have 3 different view options, oceanfront, partial oceanfront, and pool views. Besides the two on-site restaurants, there is room service available to guests staying there.

As for the owner, he ran an interesting campaign during this campaign cycle. Greene had received an endorsement from the Florida Sun-Sentinel referring to him as “smart and savvy,” while running for Governor. The article called him “confident” and noted his “connections” could help him win the election. Would be nice to have had someone from the Island leading our great state.

Andrew Gillum will be the gubernatorial nominee for the Democratic primary.

Greene, who had joined the Governor primary race late, gained only 10% of the vote during this past election, placing him in 4th place during the primary race. Greene was known for being a “friend” of Donald Trump and a member of Mar-a-Lago while also being a vocal critic of Trump and his policies. Greene ran on the platform of supporting public education, immigration and “standing up to Trump.”

Don’t let this restaurant scare prevent you from checking this beautiful location out. It is great for a staycation.
