New House Sells For $7.46 Million

A deed recorded on Tuesday showed that a contemporary-style house on Palm Beach’s north end has sold for a recorded $7.46 million, as first reported by the Palm Beach Daily News.

The house was developed by longtime real estate investor David G. Lambert. The deal closed about two months after the five-bedroom house was listed for sale at $8.75 million, according to the Palm Beach Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service.

According to the deed, John and Cindi Galiher of Chatham, N.J. were the buyers. The couple own no other property in their names in Palm Beach County according to courthouse records.

The one-story house at 250 Ocean Terrace has 5,214 square feet of living space inside and out, according to property records.

The house stands one house west of the Intracoastal Waterway, and the lot measures about a third of an acre, a little more than a half-mile south of the northern tip of the island.

Agent Jim McCann of Premier Estate Properties had the listing for the house, which was designed by Jupiter architect Thomas Kirchhoff of Kirchhoff & Associates Architects.

Agent Stephen R. Simpson of William Raveis South Florida acted on behalf of the buyer, according to the MLS.

McCann’s sales description mentioned the house’s natural interior finishes of stone and wood, along with terrazzo flooring. The house also features two expansive skylights with “dramatic recessed lighting” and 400-bottle wine refrigerator. 

Cindi Galiher said she and her husband were looking for a move-in-ready, contemporary-style house for vacations. They were impressed by the house’s construction, fixtures, and the interior finished provided by McCann Design Group, which is headed by McCann’s wife, Sara McCann.

“We’ve built several houses ourselves, and this was not built as a ‘spec’ house,” Galiher said. “It was all done very beautifully and in good taste.”
