Kraft’s Attorneys Accused of Contempt of Court
Prosecutors want two of Robert Kraft’s attorneys held in criminal contempt of court for their behavior during hearings on the release of videos that allegedly show their client paying for sex at a Jupiter day spa, as first reported by the Palm Beach Daily News.
A few months earlier, Robert Kraft— owner of the NFL’s New England Patriot and part-time Palm Beach resident—was charged with soliciting prostitutes at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter.
Kraft is facing two count of soliciting prostitution after allegedly being caught on surveillance cameras paying for and receiving sex acts on Jan. 19 and 20.
Now, a court motion filed Tuesday afternoon alleges that Kraft’s attorneys, Alex Spiro and William Burck, lied during questioning of Jupiter Police Officer Scott Kimbark. The document also says that Spiro was “threatening, extorting, and tampering” with Kimbark in the hallway outside the courtroom where a hearing was taking place.

Spiro’s and Burck’s alleged actions took place during hearings in which Kraft’s attorneys asked County Judge Leonard Hanser to toss the surveillance video from evidence. Those hearings took place April 26 and last week.
Kraft has been ordered to appear in court May 21 for a “calendar call” in which lawyers for both sides will inform Hanser if they are ready for trial.
Hanser is expected to rule on whether or not the surveillance videos are admissible for trial within the next week.
