Deal Offered To Robert Kraft

The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office has offered a deal to Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots and part time Palm Beach resident, and 24 other men that would drop the charges against them of soliciting prostitution at a Jupiter day spa, as first reported by the Palm Beach Daily News.

According to state attorney’s office spokesman Mike Edmondson, the deal would require the men to perform community service, pay a fine of $5000 plus court costs, complete a class educating them about prostitution, be screened for sexually transmitted diseased and admit in court they would have been found guilty at trial.

The misdemeanor charges against the men would be dropped in exchange. The men were arrested at Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter. The Wall Street Journal first reported on the agreement offer Tuesday.

It is currently unknown if Kraft or the other men will accept the deal. Edmondson said Tuesday afternoon that the state attorney’s office had not received confirmation that any of the defendants would take the offer.

According to court records, several of the men who have been offered the deal have court appearances scheduled for next week.

Kraft, who is facing two counts of soliciting prostitution, has so far denied any wrongdoing. Kraft’s attorney could not be reached for comment, but previously told the Palm Beach Post that Kraft would not appear for a March 28 hearing.

If he takes the deal, Kraft will be required to pay $10,000 and complete 200 hours of communist service since he is facing two misdemeanors.

State attorney Dave Aronberg addressed the deal on Twitter.

“The offer of a deferred prosecution agreement with several conditions to first-time offenders is standard in cases like this,” Aronberg tweeted.
