Evelyn & Arthur Future Plans in Palm Beach

After a possible scare on May 31, the Evelyn & Arthur store has plans to reopen again. According to Palm Beach Daily News, the store dates back to 1984 and closing it was not easy, according to the owners.

During the summertime, foot traffic seemed to decrease as it does through most of the Town of Palm Beach. The owners clarified, according to Palm Beach Daily News, that they did reach a rent agreement for next year, but nothing more than that.

There are also plans down the road to “demolish” the building, but this is likely a few years down the line.

Earlier this Summer, the Frisbies bought the Poinciana Way building for about 10.6 million. This included the Evelyn & Arthur Palm Beach store. Plans for the renovations and possible developments to this building are said to be completed in 2020.

Evelyn & Arthur is a contemporary women’s clothing store, which was started by Evelyn and Arthur Lewis. The Lewis family came from New York and moved to Palm Beach, where they started this lively fashion store.

The Palm Beach location was located at 100 N. County Road, which is only a 2-minute drive to the beautiful resort, the Breakers.
