Town of Palm Beach Website Lists Updates

The Town of Palm Beach website put up notices regarding membership appointments and limo lotteries earlier this week. There was also a notice of a demolition of a Town of Palm Beach building this week. Here are all of the Town of Palm Beach Website Lists Updates to know if you live in the Town.

The Planning and Zoning commission is seeking two new members. According to the website, two places are currently empty. You can apply via online or hardcopy. You can obtain these forms on the town’s website. If you plan on sending them via electronically, send them to townclerk@townofpalmbeach.com by September 28, before 5 pm.

Before you apply, terms consist of three years, if selected. According to the town’s website, they act on “municipal planning and development.” You must live in the Town of Palm Beach to serve and be eligible.

Permits for taxis and limos are now being accepted via a lottery system. On August 27, they will be randomly selected, according to the Town’s website. Companies of taxis and limos can submit up to five times. You must submit an application, which costs $225. This is all due by August 20.

According to the town’s website, the first 25 applications can proceed with the permitting selection process. The “first 12 applicants will be selected for the permitting process,” according to the town. After they are selected, they will select which of their vehicles can proceed based on the Palm Beach County Consumer Affairs registry.  Beginning on August 6, the existing recreation center will begin to become demolished, according to the town’s website. The town warns residents to be careful of debris and large trucks during this process. There was no date given when the demolition would end.
