Free Family Fun at Royal Poinciana Plaza

After one-too-many sunburns from long family outings on the beach, it may be time to find a new way to have some summer fun. The Royal Poinciana Plaza offers an assortment of free family-friendly activities. Whether the family is looking for movies to watch under the stars, live music to enjoy, or entertainment for younger audiences, The Royal Poinciana Plaza allows families to spend quality time together.

Individuals can look forward to the final free movie of the summer at the Royal Poinciana Plaza on Aug. 11. At 8:00 p.m., families can gather under the stars and watch “A League of Their Own”. Complimentary movie snacks will also be provided until supplies lasts. 

After the movie, families can look forward to the last segment of the Wee Royals: Adventure Club Series on Aug. 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Children will sing summer camp songs while learning the ancient Japanese tie-dye technique of Shibori. 

From movies and Shibori to music, families and friends can gather in the East Courtyard on July 27 and Aug. 31 and jam out to live music from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Grab a patio chair or bring a blanket and relax while “Spred the Dub” serenades the Plaza with its blend of Reggae, Ska and Dub on July 27. For individuals looking for a faster beat to dance to, Orlando’s 12-piece Latin Salsa Band with Caribbean flavor will be performing on Aug. 31.

Free Family Fun at Royal Poinciana Plaza

If individuals want to spend more time at the Plaza, they can look forward to family Sundays at The Royal Poinciana Plaza through August. From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., families are welcome to the Plaza to play yard games and socialize on both of the Plaza’s courtyards. The Plaza’s Sunday Social Series is sure to be enjoyable for all ages.  

As the Summer months stretch out, families still have plenty of opportunities to soak in the sun and fun with The Royal Poinciana Plaza’s assortment of free family activities.
